Pinealon (10mg)
Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Arg) from the Khavinson group of bioregulators. Few papers on it have been published, and they come mainly from one research group. The numbers below are data from research sources and not instructions for use.

How It Works
In cell models, Pinealon reduced free radicals and increased cell viability (Khavinson 2011). In rats it was studied in a model of prenatal hyperhomocysteinemia (Arutjunyan 2012). The mechanism in humans has not been documented.
Quick Start
- Vial: 10 mg. With 1 mL of bacteriostatic water the concentration is 10 mg/mL, the same as on the 20 mg page.
- Schedule in the sources: 1 → 1.5 → 2 mg subcutaneously, once a day, for 10–20 days.
- Human data: few and small, with no large randomized trial.
Schedule from research sources: Pinealon 10 mg
Route: Subcutaneous | Frequency: Once a day
| Week | Dose | Units (per injection) |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–5 | 1 mg (1,000 mcg) | 10 Units (0.10 mL) |
| Days 6–14 | 1.5 mg (1,500 mcg) | 15 Units (0.15 mL) |
| Days 15–20 | 2 mg (2,000 mcg) | 20 Units (0.20 mL) |
peptidedosages.com publishes this schedule only for the 20 mg vial and has no page for 10 mg. peptidedosage.org and peptidedosingprotocols.com give the same range and the same duration (accessed 31/10/2026). The dose stays the same for each vial and only the volume calculation changes. The schedule has not been confirmed in a clinical trial.

Reconstitution Steps
- For the 10 mg vial, 1 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10 mg/mL.
- The units in the table correspond to this concentration.
Protocol Overview
- Pinealon is a tripeptide studied mainly by Vladimir Khavinson's group in Saint Petersburg.
- Most of the data come from cells and animals.
- Of the human papers, we examined Meshchaninov 2015 in detail: 32 patients, Pinealon and Vesugen together, and an abstract with no control group. PubMed also lists a few more Russian-language reports from the same group, which we did not assess.
Dosing Protocol
- Days 1–5: 1 mg a day.
- Days 6–14: 1.5 mg a day.
- Days 15–20: 2 mg a day.
- The sources mention a 10–20 day cycle repeated every 2–3 months. None of them bases this on a clinical trial.
Storage Instructions
- The research sources state storage of the reconstituted solution at 2–8 °C. Its stability has not been studied in any published paper we verified.
Important Notes
- There is no large Western randomized trial of Pinealon.
- Claims about effects in humans are not repeated here, because no controlled human study was found.
- Meshchaninov 2015 also reported pro-oxidant activity and inhibition of haematopoiesis. It tested Pinealon and Vesugen together, and the abstract does not separate the findings.
- The substance has not been approved by the FDA or the EMA.
Potential Benefits & Side Effects
Potential Benefits:
- In cells: reduction of free radicals and increased viability (Khavinson 2011)
- In rats: protection of offspring in a model of prenatal hyperhomocysteinemia (Arutjunyan 2012)
Potential Side Effects:
- The safety profile in humans has not been documented.
- Meshchaninov 2015 (Pinealon and Vesugen together): pro-oxidant activity and a reduction in CD34+ cells.
⚠️ Serious Warnings & Long-Term Risks
The following warnings are based on published literature, FDA labels, and post-marketing surveillance. They do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional.
Pineal bioregulator — melatonergic action
Regulates pineal gland/melatonin. May theoretically alter circadian rhythm and hormonal cycles. No studies beyond Khavinson.
