How It Works
Epithalon increases telomerase activity, allowing telomeres to maintain their length during cell division. Khavinson's studies indicate increased melatonin production and improved biomarkers of aging.
Quick Start
- Reconstitution: Add 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water → 10.0 mg/mL concentration.
- Typical Dose: 5–10 mg daily for 10–20 days.
- Storage: Lyophilized: −20 °C; reconstituted: 2–8 °C.
10–20 Day Cycle (2 mL = 10.0 mg/mL)
Route: Subcutaneous or Intramuscular | Frequency: Once daily
| Week | Dose | Units (per injection) |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–10 | 5 mg | 50 Units (0.50 mL) |
| Days 1–10 (intensive) | 10 mg | 100 Units (1.00 mL) |
Studies report administration daily for 10–20 consecutive days. Cycle every 4–6 months.

Important Notes
- Short cycle—continuous use is not necessary.
- Khavinson peptide—extensive Russian literature.
- Western clinical data is limited.
Potential Benefits & Side Effects
Potential Benefits:
- Telomerase activation in in vitro models.
- Increased melatonin in elderly monkeys.
- Potential anti-aging effects (long-term Khavinson data).
Potential Side Effects:
- Injection site reactions (redness, bruising).
- Fatigue or changes in sleep patterns (due to melatonin).
- Vivid dreams (due to increased melatonin).
- Mild gastrointestinal discomfort (rare).
⚠️ Serious Warnings & Long-Term Risks
The following warnings are based on published literature, FDA labels, and post-marketing surveillance. They do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional.
Telomerase & oncogenesis — conflicting data
Epithalon activates telomerase (hTERT). While it appeared anti-cancer in animal models, telomerase activation is considered a hallmark of cancer. No long-term human studies exist.
