Selank (5 mg) & Semax (5 mg) (Stack)
Selank (an anxiolytic tuftsin analog) and Semax (a nootropic ACTH 4-10 analog) were developed at the same Russian institute (IMGen) and act complementarily: Selank stabilizes mood via GABA/enkephalins, while Semax enhances cognitive function via BDNF/NGF.

How It Works
**Selank** is a synthetic tuftsin analog that modulates BDNF, enhances GABAergic transmission, stabilizes enkephalins, and regulates serotonin—providing anxiolytic action without sedation. **Semax** is an ACTH(4-10) analog that increases BDNF/NGF, modulates dopamine/serotonin, improves cerebral circulation, and provides neuroprotection. The combination aims for: Selank for calmness/anti-stress + Semax for focus/memory, through complementary neurochemical pathways.
Quick Start
- Reconstitution per vial: Add 2.5 mL of BAC water → 2.0 mg/mL.
- Selank: 250–500 mcg intranasally or subcutaneously, 1–3×/day.
- Semax: 200–600 mcg intranasally or subcutaneously, 1–2×/day (morning/afternoon).
- Storage: Reconstituted: 2–8 °C, use within 21 days (Selank) / 30 days (Semax).
Selank & Semax Dosing (2.5 mL = 2.0 mg/mL per vial)
Route: Intranasal or subcutaneous | Frequency: Selank: 2×/day | Semax: 1–2×/day
| Week | Dose | Units (per injection) |
|---|---|---|
| — Selank — | ||
| Weeks 1–2 | 250 mcg × 2/day | 12.5 units × 2 (0.125 mL × 2) |
| Weeks 3–4 | 500 mcg × 2/day | 25 units × 2 (0.25 mL × 2) |
| — Semax — | ||
| Weeks 1–2 | 200 mcg × 1/day | 10 units (0.10 mL) |
| Weeks 3–4 | 400–600 mcg × 1–2/day | 20–30 units (0.20–0.30 mL) |
Selank in the morning & evening. Semax in the morning (& afternoon if needed). Avoid Semax after 3:00 PM to prevent insomnia. Onset of action is within 15–30 minutes when administered intranasally.

Dilution Selection
Peptides come in 3 mL, 5 mL or 10 mL vials. If your vial is smaller, the water amount adjusts automatically.
Selank (5 mg)
Semax (5 mg)
⚠️ Units change depending on BAC water — always verify before administration. Based on
- Selank: Draw up 2.5 mL of BAC water → inject slowly → 2.0 mg/mL.
- Semax: Draw up 2.5 mL of BAC water → inject slowly → 2.0 mg/mL.
- Label with peptide name & date; refrigerate at 2–8 °C.
Protocol Overview
- Goal: Combined cognitive enhancement + anxiolytic action without sedation.
- Schedule: Selank 2×/day + Semax 1–2×/day, intranasally or subcutaneously.
- Range: Selank: 250–500 mcg/dose; Semax: 200–600 mcg/dose.
Dosing Protocol
- Selank: 250 mcg × 2/day (wks 1–2) → 500 mcg × 2/day (wks 3–4).
- Semax: 200 mcg × 1/day (wks 1–2) → 400–600 mcg × 1–2/day (wks 3–4).
- Timing: Morning + afternoon; avoid evening Semax dose.
- Cycle: 2–4 weeks on, 2–4 weeks off.
- Break between cycles: After a cycle (2–4 weeks), a break of 2–4 weeks is recommended. The two peptides do not cause dependence—the break prevents tolerance to the BDNF-elevating effects.
Washout & Cycle Restart
When can I restart?
After a cycle (2–4 weeks), a break of 2–4 weeks is recommended. The two peptides do not cause dependence—the break prevents tolerance to the BDNF-elevating effects.
Minimum wait period: 2 weeks
Storage Instructions
- Lyophilized: 2–8 °C or −20 °C.
- Reconstituted: 2–8 °C; use Selank within 21 days, Semax within 30 days.
Important Notes
- Non-addictive—does not cause dependence or sedation.
- Intranasal administration is the most common and effective route.
- Can be administered simultaneously (Selank in one nostril, Semax in the other).
- Selank may interact with immunosuppressants (due to its immunomodulatory action).
Potential Benefits & Side Effects
Potential Benefits:
- Selank: Anxiolytic action without sedation, increased BDNF, immunomodulation.
- Semax: Improved memory/learning, neuroprotection, enhanced focus.
- Combination: Simultaneous cognitive enhancement + emotional stabilization.
Potential Side Effects:
- Selank: mild nasal dryness (with intranasal use), rare headache.
- Semax: mild headache, nasal dryness, rare insomnia if taken late in the day.
⚠️ Serious Warnings & Long-Term Risks
The following warnings are based on published literature, FDA labels, and post-marketing surveillance. They do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional.
BDNF modulation & immunoregulation
Selank modifies BDNF, IL-6, and immune markers. Long-term effects in humans unclear — very few studies beyond 30 days.
📄 Bull Exp Biol Med 2008Neurotrophic action — uncertain long-term effects
Semax increases BDNF, NGF, and modifies dopaminergic/serotonergic signaling. Long-term use may theoretically alter neuroplasticity. No studies >6 months in humans.
