    How It Works

Tirzepatide activates both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon, slowing gastric emptying, and reducing appetite through central mechanisms.

    Quick Start

    • Reconstitution: Add 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water → 10.0 mg/mL concentration.
    • Weekly range: 2.5–15 mg once weekly.
    • Storage: Lyophilized: 2–8 °C; reconstituted: 2–8 °C.

    2. Inject slowly down the side wall.
    3. Swirl gently.
    4. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C.

    Protocol Overview

    • Goal: Weight management or glycemic control.
    • Schedule: 1× weekly, gradual titration.

    Dosing Protocol

    • Starting dose: 2.5 mg/wk for 4 weeks.
    • Titration: +2.5 mg every 4 weeks.
    • Max dose: 15 mg/wk.
    • Half-life: ~5 days.
    • Break between cycles: Gradual dose reduction before discontinuation to avoid rebound effects.

    Washout & Cycle Restart

    When can I restart?

Gradual dose reduction before discontinuation to avoid rebound effects.

    Minimum wait period: 4 weeks

    Storage Instructions

    • Lyophilized: 2–8 °C (or −20 °C for long-term).
    • Reconstituted: 2–8 °C, use within 28 days.

    Important Notes

    • FDA-approved (Mounjaro® / Zepbound™).
    • Gradual titration reduces GI side effects.
    • Check for thyroid history (MTC/MEN2).
    • Monitor glycemia if taking other anti-diabetic medications.
