    How It Works

MGF is a splice variant of IGF-1 expressed in muscle tissue following mechanical loading or damage. Unlike systemic IGF-1, MGF acts locally to activate satellite cells and initiate muscle repair via its unique C-terminal E peptide. Pegylation extends its half-life, allowing for once-daily subcutaneous administration instead of frequent local injections.

    Quick Start

    • Reconstitution: Add 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water → ~0.667 mg/mL concentration.
    • Typical daily range: 200–500 mcg once daily (titrated over 8 weeks).
    • Storage: Lyophilized: −20 °C; reconstituted: 2–8 °C; avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Studies report administration once daily subcutaneously. Pegylation extends MGF's half-life, allowing for systemic subcutaneous dosing instead of frequent intramuscular injections.

    Reconstitution Steps

    1. Withdraw 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water.
    2. Slowly inject down the side wall; avoid foaming.
    3. Gently swirl until dissolved (do not shake).
    4. Note date; refrigerate at 2–8 °C, away from light.

    Protocol Overview

    • Goal: Support muscle recovery and regeneration via satellite cell activation.
    • Schedule: Daily subcutaneous injections for 8 weeks (extendable to 12–16 weeks).
    • Storage: Lyophilized frozen; reconstituted refrigerated.

    Dosing Protocol

    • Initiation: 200 mcg daily; increase by ~100 mcg every 2 weeks.
    • Target: 400–500 mcg daily in Weeks 5–8.
    • Frequency: Once daily (subcutaneous).
    • Cycle Duration: 8 weeks; optional extension to 12–16.
    • Break between cycles: 4-week pause before repeating the cycle.

Mechano Growth Factor — potential oncogenesis

MGF (IGF-1 Ec splice variant) promotes muscle hypertrophy and cell proliferation. Theoretical concern for enhancing neoplasms — especially in tissues with active mitosis.
