    How It Works

Neuroxelin intervenes in the brain injury cascade via multiple mechanisms. It may reduce excitotoxic neuronal death by disrupting NMDA receptor signaling pathways, similar to nerinetide (NA-1). Additionally, it may reduce neuroinflammation by decreasing microglial activation and cytokine release. The peptide may also provide neurotrophic support by promoting synaptic repair and neurogenesis.

    Quick Start

    • Reconstitution: Add 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water → 16 mg/mL concentration.
    • Typical daily range: 250–1000 mcg once daily (typical dose: 500 mcg).
    • Storage: Lyophilized: −20 °C; reconstituted: 2–8 °C; use within 4 weeks.

Studies report administration once daily subcutaneously, preferably in the morning. For doses ≤10 units use a 30 or 50-unit syringe.

    Reconstitution Steps

    1. Let vial reach room temperature before opening.
    2. Draw up 3.0 mL of bacteriostatic water.
    3. Inject slowly down the side of the vial; avoid foaming.
    4. Swirl gently until dissolved (do not shake).
    5. Note concentration (16 mg/mL) and date; refrigerate at 2–8 °C.

    Protocol Overview

    • Goal: Neuroprotection, reduction of neuroinflammation, and enhancement of cognitive recovery.
    • Schedule: Daily subcutaneous injections for 8–12 weeks.
    • Storage: Lyophilized: −20 °C; reconstituted: 2–8 °C, use within 4 weeks.

    Dosing Protocol

    • Start: 500 mcg daily for Weeks 1–4; assess tolerance.
    • Titration: Increase to 750–1000 mcg daily from Week 5 if tolerated.
    • Frequency: Once daily (subcutaneously), preferably in the morning.
    • Cycle Duration: 8–12 weeks; reassess every 8 weeks.
    • Break between cycles: 4-week pause before repeating the cycle.

    Washout & Cycle Restart

    When can I restart?

4-week pause before repeating the cycle.

    Minimum wait period: 4 weeks

    Storage Instructions

    • Lyophilized: −20 °C in dry, dark conditions; stable for months.
    • Reconstituted: 2–8 °C; use within 4 weeks; avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
    • Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening.
