How It Works
Liraglutide mimics GLP-1, enhancing glucose-dependent insulin, reducing glucagon, slowing gastric emptying, and reducing appetite.
Quick Start
- Reconstitution: Add 2.0 mL bacteriostatic water → 3.0 mg/mL concentration.
- Daily range: 0.6–3.0 mg once daily.
- Storage: 2–8 °C.
Gradual Titration (2 mL = 3.0 mg/mL)
Route: Subcutaneously | Frequency: Once daily
| Week | Dose | Units (per injection) |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | 0.6 mg | 20 Units (0.20 mL) |
| Week 2 | 1.2 mg | 40 Units (0.40 mL) |
| Week 3 | 1.8 mg | 60 Units (0.60 mL) |
| Week 4 | 2.4 mg | 80 Units (0.80 mL) |
| Week 5+ | 3.0 mg | 100 Units (1.00 mL) |
Studies report administration once daily. Increase +0.6 mg/wk. A 6 mg vial = ~2 days at the maximum dose.
